Emergencies that should be seen immediately:

• Retching, non-productive vomiting (could be a sign of a GVD, gastric-dilatation-volvulus)
• Collapse
• Pale mucous membranes
• Vomiting blood
• Unable to use any limb
• Male cats unable to urinate
• Ingested rat poison, medications (vet or human), ingested sugar-free gum (especially containing xylitol)

Should be seen as quickly as possible:

• Seizures
• Vomiting
• Lethargy
• Weakness
