Appointment Policy

We understand how frustrating it can be to wait in a noisy crowded lobby. Here at TAC we make it a priority to ensure that all of our patients and clients get the proper care and attention that they deserve. To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases will always receive top priority, for this reason, occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Your visit is extremely important to us which is why we make a sincere effort to see each client on time.

 

We understand that, for your pet, coming to the vet may be scary. Even though we take every opportunity to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be nervous around new people, new surroundings, and other pets. We pride ourselves on treating every patient as if they were our own and we will make every effort to ensure they are as comfortable as possible during their visit. Understanding that every patient is different we ask that certain measures of restraint are taken. For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.

Preparing Your Pet for Surgery or Dental

To help prepare your pet for their surgical or dental procedure, we ask that you please refrain from feeding them past midnight (this includes treats!). You're free to give your pet water until the morning of the procedure.

 

On Tuesdays, please drop your pet off between 8:30AM and 9:00AM. On Wednesday and Thursday, drop-off hours are between 7:30AM and 8:00AM.

 

We will notify you upon completion of the procedure and will update you on the status of your pet. Please give a few hours of recovery time following the procedure before returning to pick your pet up (we will advise you on the best time and are happy to be flexible with your schedule).

 

Your pet will be returned to you with go-home instructions on how to properly care for them following their procedure, as well as  medication is necessary. Follow-up appointments will be scheduled around your convenience to bring your pet back for their post-procedure check-up.

New Clients!

We are currently accepting new clients and would love to welcome you to our clinic! Our full service facility provides private exam rooms for the comfort of your dogs and cats alike.  As animal lovers, our experienced veterinarians and staff will treat your animals as if they were our own. We pride ourselves in providing a compassionate and positive experience while offering the services needed to meet all of your animal?s medical needs. In order to establish a relationship with your animal and properly care for them we ask that you bring any new patients to the clinic for their first wellness exam with us. We encourage you to bring in any records you may have from your previous vet to ensure that we are keeping them up to date on all vaccines.

We do ask that all dogs are on leashes and cats are secured in a carrier when they come for their appointment. Thank you for your interest in our clinic!

Petly Health Pages

"What IS Petly?"

 

Petly is a service offered to our clients that allows them to keep track of their pets health records. Each pet is given their own page (that you can add their photo to) with detailed information regarding their shot records, exam dates, lab results, etc. As a pet owner, requesting an appointment or refilling prescriptions is just a click away! Petly also offers informative pet care articles and tips.

 

How to Begin:

 

In order to use Petly, clients must be established with our clinic. We require information including:

 

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • E-mail address/physical address
  • Pet records (most up-to-date!)

 

You may bring in your pet's records, or have them faxed in (216-298-5045). Once we have your records we can update your pet's information on your petly page!

 

(Note:  If your pet's information is incorrect or missing, please notify us and we will make the corrections. Please allow 24-48 hrs for updated information to be processed and posted.)

"What symptoms indicate an emergency situation for my pet?"

 

Please consult the "Emergency" link under the Helpful Info section on the bottom left of the page.

 

"Can I give my pet human medications?" (ex: Tylenol)

 

NO. We do not recommend giving your animals any medication meant for human consumption unless otherwise directed by your pet's primary health provider.

 

"Do you offer microchip services?"

 

Yes, we offer microchip implantation and scanning.

 

"Do you offer grooming or boarding services?"

 

As of now we do not offer either grooming or boarding services. We do, however, offer nail trimming for your pet during examinations or while under anesthesia
