Emergencies that should be seen immediately:
- Retching, non-productive vomiting (could be a sign of a GVD, gastric-dilatation-volvulus)
- Collapse
- Pale mucous membranes
- Vomiting blood
- Unable to use any limb
- Cats unable to urinate
- Ingested rat poison, medications (vet or human), ingested sugar-free gum (especially containing xylitol)
Should be seen as quickly as possible:
- Seizures
- Vomiting
- Lethargy
- Weakness
